Reaper's Requiem – Ep. 17: Stemming the Forgotten Tide 12 Sided Guys

In our last episode, after fighting their way through the caves, Durzy’s Dreamers encountered a particularly yoked Elven warrior, and a familiar and powerful Gnomish woman.  The group, perhaps wisely, let the Gnomish woman leave – but now they stand face to face with the “hottest” Peace Peddler of them all!  It’s a fiery, jacked-up, beat-down boss battle.  Will our Dreamer’s come through unscathed?  Probably not! Better tune in to find out for yourself! Did you know that we have merchandise?  Well, we surely do at the  12sidedguys.com/shop!  Come hang out with us at the 12 Sided Guys Discord, check it out at https://discord.gg/SJZnpCCx6N!  If you enjoy what you hear and want to support us, please consider checking out our Patreon at ‌‌patreon.com/12sidedguys‌‌, you’ll find bonus episodes, maps, tokens, and access to our Wiki! — Additional‌ ‌sound‌ ‌effects‌ ‌from‌ ‌tabletopaudio.com.

Meet the Guys

I’m Paul and I’m the DM. I’ve been roleplaying about as long as my twin brother, Matt. I started with Werewolf, DnD 2E and Rifts, but branched out to 3E and 3.5E, Star Wars, D20 Modern, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulu, and have now settled into 5E. My family and I live in the Portland Metro area where I spend my days as a Chiropractor. My downtime is spent making maps, writing intros, and brainstorming how to wallop my players. My favorite thing about D&D (and all roleplaying, for that matter) is making something that I think is cool and having friends experience it and change it with their actions, all while building a beautiful, exciting, and hopefully coherent story. There’s nothing better than going on an adventure with your friends!

Hey there! I’m Sabrina, also known as Nari Nat20 Stormfist (and occasionally Hop). A very casual D&D player during college, I got serious during the pandemic. I have a passion for good world building, fantasy, and RPGs. My first game was Pokémon Blue on my purple Gameboy Color, and I’ve been gaming (video, table top, ttrpg) ever since. I live in the Portland area near Scott and Paul.  My favorite thing about the Crystal Codex, aside from getting to play such a cool character, is the amazing story Paul has built; it’s so exciting to see an entire world come to life, and even more fun to get to be part of it!

Hey everyone, I’m Jordan and I play Ebi (as well as Burt Bertram). My first exposure to D&D was playing Dark Sun: Shattered Lands on PC (had to launch with MS Dos!) back in the early 90’s—also that game is still amazing and worth checking out. My friends and I spent countless hours playing Final Fantasy II and III (American versions obviously), Chrono Trigger, and any other NES or SNES RPG we could get our hands on. I then graduated to actual Table-top D&D, when not playing Baldur’s Gate 2, Neverwinter Nights, or Diablo (I and II) on my PC. I live near the “point of the mountain” in Utah with my wife and 2 wonderful kids. When not slingin’ dice with these fools, I work for a tech startup and fastidiously engage with all things blockchain and crypto.

Hey everyone, it’s Matt! I play Pine (sometimes Artis) and I produce the podcast with Scott. I’ve been RPGing and D&Ding for about as long as I can remember. I live in the US intermountain west with my wife, 3 kids, and a dog we acquired at some point. I love making this podcast because I love narrative storytelling (D&D is such a powerful tool to do that collaboratively), I love the world that Paul has led us in creating, and I love just having fun with my good friends at our (virtual) table.

I’m Scott and I play as Rousse/Joph and occasionally Ember. Roleplaying games have been part of my life since I was a child. My first Final Fantasy game was the original Final Fantasy on the Nintendo, but since there was only one save file slot my older siblings did not let me play it. Instead, I logged into their file and ran around exploring the world and leveling up their characters. Since then, I’ve beaten every single main numbered game in the series. I’m an avid video and tabletop gamer. I honestly have too many hobbies; juggling all of them is tough. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my wife and three kids.
